I know they're airing it uncut on Adult Swim now but it's on at 2 AM and I'm usually asleep after Saturday Night Live.  I remember the cartoon with the awful dub on Fox Kids way back then.  It has a really wonky art style like strange for the sake of strange, almost like Naruto if Kishimoto did acid but I've asked people who are into it and they say they love it.

Darn, it's pretty much the only reason to turn on Cartoon Network besides Steven Universe.  What's your main cartoon/anime channel or do you even have one up there in the USA's neighbor to the north?
