CAITLIN EFFING FAIRCHILD!!!! What? The character's pretty underrated. But at LEAST she's not as overlooked as Aspen Matthews. I never even heard of her (Aspen) until ComicVine did a comparison between Aspen and Firestar.

Well, I have NO idea about Aspen's character or backstory. I know she has these weird water powers, wears a necklace with some kind of insignia, and doesn't like shoes (or not so skimpy clothes for that matter). But what's the rest of her story?

I think she thought she was human and it turns out she isn't and gets caught up in a conflict which introduces her to her people. You'll have to look up the wiki for more.

I think Caitlin would have an inverse of Supe's issue regarding Lois; the 'Man Of Steel, Woman Of Tissue Paper' problem.

Nice. I still haven't had a chance to read any GEN13, then or now - apparently there was an animated version where Caitlin was voiced by Alicia Witt that is partially available on You-Tube but I hear it's pretty bad.

I collected all the Image titles. It was kind of my first real jump into collecting comics. It's a real pity these characters didn't have huge success over a longer period of time, but I am glad DC chose to keep them.
