George Perez was drawing the Avengers at the time if I recall correctly.
Who would have imagined that she was such a modest heroine. It was a nice little characterization touch for her.

She had this costumeΒ very briefly in Avengers. She complained to Vance aboutΒ the Wasp making itΒ too low cut then had the neck line filled black. That's when she had problems with her microwaves and Hank helped her by giving herΒ a filter screen under her costume to absorb the excess Microwaves that was building in her.
