Ah, this brings back memories. I miss the way 80s/90s cartoons looked, and you captured Futura's essence beautifully!

Funny you should do this one now.. They recently released a few of the cartoons from the series on DVD.. I guess the new movie is having at least one or two positive effects.. Now if I only felt that way about the newΒ movie... For the first time I don't want to watch a movie based solely on the fact they turned the debate into a bad three ring circus with nothing but bad clowns in it...

Can't say I'm interested in the film either...but I think Ghostbusters might not work very well in the way Hollywood creates films now

I agree.. Lastly Hollywood hasΒ made moreΒ mistakes than hitsΒ but once they start trying harder they ill get more movies right once again.. Also some newΒ talent including writing talent would not hurt..

It's the "Let's go Ghostbusters, let's go, let's go, let's go!" one?

If I'm not mistaken, these guys existed before Ivan Reitman's movie came out, right?

As a 'tween in 1975, I was hoping that women would all dress like this in the future.Β She certainly had some gorgeous gams.

There was an old like 40s-50s live action TV show, THIS Ghostbusters was the successor to it.

I think the live-action show was in the early or mid 1970s - starring Larry Storch and Forrest Tucker (both alumni of 'F-Troop'), plus a guy in a gorilla suit.Β Ah, Filmation.Β Such wonderfully silly shows they made.

Actually, the show she's from is from 1986 while the Columbia film is from 1984. However, it is based on the live-action series from the '70s.

Filmation's Ghostbusters was a direct adaptation of the company's old live-action show, The Ghost Busters, which aired in 1975. Β The movie Ghostbusters was released in 1984 and was based on the same general concept, but was otherwise completely unrelated and took the idea much more seriously. Β The Ghostbusters (movie) cartoon was set to come out in 1986...at the same time as the Filmation cartoon was to premier. Β When DiC and Filmation realized what was going on, they came to an agreement, and so the Filmation series was officially titled 'Filmation's Ghostbusters' while the DiC cartoon was called 'The Real Ghostbusters' (to reference the more recent live action, i.e.-'real', movie).
