AWESOME, a True Classic.Β The character is 35 years old this year, btw.Β The design was based on a cult favorite actress from the late 1970s-early 80s named Adrianne Barbeau.Β She was in a lot horror and thriller movies back then.Β She was even in the original Swamp Thing movie back in I think it was 1984.Β Β

Lady Jaye!Β Great job drawing her.Β She's not super sexy and still a bit masculine but that's all right.Β I love that gal and I was super ticked when she was killed off in the Devil's Due reboot comic even though I generally enjoyed that series.Β I heard Hasbro ignored the reboot series when they restarted it again a few years ago so I guess that means she's still alive.

I never liked the cartoon growing up.Β I was a Transformer fan.Β Now the GI Joe comic was by bag.Β Even though it was basically a toy catalog with word balloons, it was so much more mature.Β Larry Hama just made it a blast to read by exploring the Arashakagi ninja, Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes bro'ship, and was willing to kill off mainstay characters.Β There was one issue where a COBRA chopper pilot killed a whole bunch of Joes, including Quick Kick - my fav.Β It was such a great book.

I thought 99% of all 80s shows were pretty dumb as no one ever got hurt. Robotech would be the only show I really liked.

I loved 80s toons like Transformers and Silverhawks.Β Even He-Man and that Ghostbusters toon were great despite all those existing just to sell toys.Β But it was Disney's stuff that put all that to shame.Β Ducktales was so ahead of its time.Β I can't believe Disney doesn't show reruns of it.
I'm bummed I never got to finish Robotech since I never knew when it was on.Β It was such a god's send when it was on Toonami but they never showed the final season so I don't know how Earth did against the Invid.

Robotech's thrid chapater aka Mospeada Genesis Climber is my favourite chapter of the series. If you enjoy it look up the Robotech Movie Shadow Chronicles as it follows Robotech's third series.

I did not know that so thanks for the head's up.Β Was the series ever redubbed or released unedited?Β I remember when Giant Robo was finally released on DVD it actually got a brand new dub along with the original dub since so many voice actors had to be replaced since it took a looOOOoong time to produce the series.
