She isn’t based on anyone particular, but her design is based on Jean Grant from Robotech series, especially Shadow Chronicles. Backstory wise, mostly a young female college graduate of South Asian descent enlisted in the military after “encouraged” by local recruitment office enlist in the military instead of becoming a school teacher. Fortunately, she survived and managed to see Earth after she left the military and volunteered to be a teacher there.
