Ah, my original favorite comic couple~!
Honestly, I kinda adored their interactions in X-men Evolution. The interest was there without feeling too forced.

Even in the ending sequence where he was among the X-men and standing with Rogue made me smile.

10 out of 10 doesn't do this justice.
God it makes me wish that we could have seen him come onto the team like it was shown he will at the end (with an arm around rogue...who doesnt seem to be complaining or standoffish in the photo about it) if anyone deserved someone to love her, it's rogue.
Their love/Hate relationship would have been cool to see in this version, since it was just beggining when Gambit started to actually get to know her a bit during Cajun Spice...and was geneuinely remosefull for using her because of this bonding (not to mention he was obviously protective of her when he blew off his fathers interest in her power)...so little by little he was turning into the Gambit we know...because of her.
And besides...gambit is the only one that i support for her to be with (Magneto...seriously?), but hey, her and scott had their moments too.

Colossus was paired off with Rogue in the comics for a bit.Β Turns out that while in steel form, Piotr is immune to Rogue's touch.Β Plus both came came rural backgrounds and had things to talk about.Β It was a nice change of pace but sadly a new writer was brought onboard and Rogue immediately went back to Gambit while Piotr went to pet his Kitty.

yeah well still, Gambit and Colossus make sense for her to be with....Rogue and Magneto, does not compute.

That pairing was weird.Β It's all due to an old comic where Rogue and Magneto were stranded in the Savage Land without their powers and they (maybe) banged.Β I always felt the relationship was just in Rogue's head since he was the first person she was intimate with since her powers activated.Β Plus, in the Age of Apocalypse comics, Mags figured out how to counter Rogue's aura via magnetism so he could touch her.Β I'm surprised that hasn't happened in the main 616 comics like with Hank McCoy or Tony Stark making a device along the same lines.

I did like the attempt she had with Scott at the series beginning. But, it made for some depth for her as her character grew

But i would have still preferred to see her try again with Gambit further, because unlike most other versions of Rogue...Evo Rogue actually at least TRIED to get together with a boy who couldn't touch her.
And yeah...i dont understand who thought it was a good idea to ever let those two get together...let alone get it on in a one night stand...her and magneto just dont click in my mind.
And Gambit aint no player who toys with her heart like some people say he is, he genuinely loves her.
When mystique tempted him with a rogue he could touch (her in rogues form) he rejected her offer.
That's loyalty.

Oh I think going forward it would have been nice to see Rogue and Gambit's relationship grow....but the show ended a bit too soon

Slinky PJs Rogue is wearing.Β I enjoy both these evo pics you posted as they do feature the couple I picked, just not together.Β Yeah, I picked the Rogue/ScottΒ option.Β I remember being really surprised that the cartoon had that pairing going for a few episodes before dropping it.Β It was a strange one: Cynic delinquent Rogue with straight-arrow Cyclops; but then I guess it's just the Duncan/Courtney pairing from Total Drama with the genders reversed (plus super powers).

I liked that she tried and it didn't work out. I gave her more character.
