Actually, there's a massive underwater sand dune headed towards Titanic, so her fate may be to be buried.

Which stuff can I look up to judge whether or not this was close to accurate come 2012, at the least?

I've stopped following the documentaries/diving trips to the wreck, so I don't know the current rate of decay.

I think it's the documentary Titanic at 100: Mystery Solved. It's on youtube.

It's already 2012 and the ship looks nothing like what it is picture.
Maybe they are looking too far ahead.

you know they have the original plans for titanic in an Archive some where. in theory they could build a full scale working replica of Titanic if they wanted to.

The only problem in building a replica is the the expenses.

That is why I said in theory.

True and they tried the idea multiple times, but I guess it wasn't in their spirits to complete it. Unless you wanna try it.

I don't have the funds to undertake such a project.

While this is a painful thing to see it will happen eventually...

I've got a good read for you! It's called: I AM CANADA DEADLY VOYAGE: RMS TITANIC Jamie Laidlaw Crossing the Atlantic 1912 by Hugh Brewster. It's a REALLY good book. I bought it on a Wednesday and read all night and finished round about three a.m. Thursday.

It's upsetting looking at concepts at what she may look like in the future, but this made me think of a very daring idea. What did she look like from the time she hit the ocean floor to when she was found back in 1985?

this I can't look at! It's too painful and upsetting for me.

I might have a solution for that, a giant underwater dome made of carbon fibers. That'll protect her.

Is carbon fiber resistant to that girl's enviroment?.

Tesla51 In reply to InspectorNigelHyde [2011-03-21 04:55:58 +0000 UTC]

I don't think so. But it's the strongest material currently known to me. Fit the dome over her, pump out the water and she lives forever.

U just gave me this idea: make a replica Titanic out of carbon fiber & bronze since the only things of Titanic that will last forever are made of bronze.

Not a bad idea. In fact, I'll let you in on a secret: I have thought about making a large scale working replica of the Titanic. As for the scale: 3 1/2" = 1'. But my parents say it wouldn't work, too big to make it.

I say, long story short: I'm not gonna ask U for a request, but I have an idea that U could also draw a steampunk seaplane the size of an ocean liner, biofueled & with white star's colors.

I can do that. You'll know when I submit it.
