About his character: Unlike the rest of my Marimar uploads, this one is unique as it's a new character with no equivalent in the original Mexican Telenovela.
Idea for this character: In this fictitious version of Marimar, Sean Pertwee plays the role of Bristol Police Inspector Isambard Barnaby, based on Mr. Pertwee's role as Alfred in the Batman prequel series Gotham and Tom Barnaby, John Nettles' character in the British crime series Midsomer Murders. The inspector serves as a mentor to Marimar's husband Sergio, now known as Nigel Hyde in his quest for justice and along with Dr. Leonidas Beaumont try to crack the mystery behind the murders of Gustavo Aldama and Marimar's Grandparents.
