A voice in the darknessA quiet whisper on the wind
I wonder what we’d hear
If we took time and listened?
A murmur in your soul
A persistent urging to act
Too often shoved aside
Because of doubt and faith we lacked.
A commanding presence
A gentle nudging from within
God will communicate
If we only choose to listen.
A scripture that leaps out
An amazing answer to prayer
Be still and wait for Him
To speak to you, with faith not fear.

God really can do amazing things if we just listen and act upon what we hear!
I know that has happened to me so may times before. Some days whaen i carry gospel tracts with me to school and the store etc., I get these random thoughts like "I need to give a tract to this girl" or "I need to give a tract to this man" and so on. When i ignore it, or let fear control me, i feel horrible when i miss the oppurtunity. But when i actually follow the holy spirit's commands, God turns it into so much more!
A week ago, I brought these "million dollar" tracts with me to the bus and knew right away that God wanted me to give one to the bus driver. I pushed my fear aside for once and just gave one to the guy. Then before I knew it, a ton of kids on my bus wanted one and wanted to know what they were. I only had in mind to give away one tract, but God had in mind that 20+ people would get one! God is amazing.

Yeah I know what you mean. Following the Spirit's prompting can be scary but SO rewarding!

Yeah. Sometimes that's exactly why we block Him out - we think we know what he's going to say and we don't want to hear it.
