Avoyel with a new look! LOL. I'm retiring tokota Avoyel and instead will be drawing afghan hound x borzoi Avoyel from now on. He's been completely redesigned. Quite a few of my tokotas will be making the switch to normal canines. I have his ref in the works so I'll upload that eventually, but I figured I'd upload this little thing I did between commissions.Related content

And hmm, I'm curious as to which of your Tokos will end up as normal canines - I'll keep my eyes peeled then.
Love the subtle gradients in his design, and the white under his eye is a lovely touch - also love how in this image he seems to be warily glancing backwards, very much fitting for the title. ^^

Speaking of new designs, I'm currently concepting in my head about a redesign for Vroenfael's metallic parts - some bits will just be slightly tweaked, like his neck armour, but the rest of it is getting a maaaaaaajor overhaul.

For various reasons, I didn't like the old design - thought it was too clichΓ© at times and overdone, that it didn't fit the species as well, and also it obscured a fair bit of anatomical detail, and I love showing anatomical detail on Krovendraekk.
Also thought it didn't flow or move with his design or complement his muscular system, so yep, I'm going to change it, plus his new refined physique just didn't suit the old armour, and he's "grown up" as a design since the start, so yes, he needed an UPGRADE! 
Unfortunately though uni has been pure evil for months, and in particular in the last few weeks I've been unable to draw anything with time constraints and generally being too tired to see properly.
