It is easy to see from an image like this how it is that so many stories animate trees. These four have become dancers or grieving sisters or thin shamans... completely unlike the trees that garb at you with menace.

no it is digital- shot during a fairly heavy snow storm gives it more of an organic feel

Well, it had me fooled.
I asked because there is what looks like, at least to me, a little softness around the corners, which is usually a holga characteristic.

That is lovely. It looks great in duotone and the four trees look really great.. there's something about the fact that there's four of them that makes this photograph so special.
