Sad in a way, like one of those thoughts (visual thoughts) that comes in when your mind is drifting. It is simultaneously beautiful and sad, and you want to relish it at the same time you are wishing it away.

Oh I thought it represented(in this case) your comment- the ambivalence of reverie but the emoticon is really the one used by the guy who originally created all of the early emoticons on this site- and when you sort by popularity i noticed it was at the end of the list and I have through usage brought it back to respectiblity
