Three years and counting. When I see people with incredible designs that cover an entire leg or arm or torso I start thinking I want that... then I think about the practical aspects. Would I be able to get a job with highly visible body art? That's the main reason I've never gotten any "extreme" piercings, too. One of my previous jobs even frowned on simple eyebrow rings. Tattoos... I figure when/if, it'll be simple, subtle, and somethinig that can be hidden under clothing for daytime.

(Maybe the heart would've looked better over the actual heart.)

Maybe I have a hard time with committment. I love them on other people and have often toyed with the idea but, could never committ to something I will have for the rest of my life. Perhaps part of my admiration is for that degree of committment many people find. My daughter ran out and got one as soon as she turned 18. It is an art nouveau design that wraps around her hips. While she will never admit it as a mistake I hear comments as to its future in tones of sadness as she enters child bearing years . The possibility of stretch marks altering it are real. You will probably not have to worry about such things though.

I agree there are still those who judge people and I know some who are limited in their job opportunities because of visible designs. It would be a drag to have to wear long sleeves to work everyday.

As far as putting the heart over the actual heart area... hummm well that would probaly work on a male but, on a female there would be possibly some distortion. My guess is she wanted it in a place that could be visible in order to make people think. She sure made me think!
