Description
Childhood, Christmas time, friends, family, joy, happiness ... and, a new toy on my desk. Toy that will define my life, responsible for such a beautiful experiences from my childhood. Kids imaginary world, lost over time, a glimpse of it left in my head, a glimpse of priceless memory. But, it wouldn't be such a great experience if it wasn't for my friends... do you guys remember how we spent hours playing games, competing and exploring these new digital frontiers?
I must admit I had Atari ST not Amiga

What did I just read ? .....dude what ? ......What job do you got that puts you under a lie detector and asks you if you pirated video games ? are you working at EA ? O_0 . I see ure from the usa, dude, wow, much freedom, such liberty, even now with net neutrality as an european I feel that usa got even more subjugated by its own chains of consumerism, which is kind of sad if you think about it, the main reason the rest of the world is contained is becauseΒ you can waste time playing videogames, watch tv or do other meaningless but FUN stuff
,take that away, and BOOM, people have more time to think about how miserable their lifestyle is and how to government are screwing them up .....just saying....
PLUS I think these old emulated games are free to download on official specific emulated sites, like, I think the designers of the game would be quite happy to know that some people still play theyr 20+ year old games , just saying, I dont think they would expect some one to even buy one of those old games, like dude, a picture of mario has more mb's than the game itself lol
I even consider they have full approval from the companies to even make it a shareware, like gta2, it got turned into a freeware I think, even more, updated so it could run on the new windows platforms
Β ....still the masses do not play it, its outdated for some, why play gta2 when you can play gta V ? even ONLINE ! with your friends in ultra hd graphics, looks more real than real life haha

My job requires me to have a government security clearance (in my case, roughly equivalent to the British BPSS clearance, if you know what that is.)Β That's the reason for the lie detector test.Β I guess they're afraid that if I'm "morally flexible" enough to make illegal copies of software, that I would be willing to leak classified information, since my job gives me access to computer files.Β I guess they're afraid of another Chelsea Manning.Β (Look her up on Wikipedia if you haven't heard about the Chelsea Manning case.)
As for the "net neutrality" issue... the fight isn't over.Β The odds are still good that there will either be lawsuits filed against the FCC to force them to reverse the decision, or Congress will step in and pass legislation (giving net neutrality the force of law, instead of just a "regulation".)Β Or that the next president after Trump will order the FCC to reinstate it.

Interesting, well, its just a video game, morally flexible you cant compare downloading a 20years old + video game and sharing government secrets its similar to saying "he killed a chicken so he could eat like a normal human, he surely can kill and massacre a bunch of humans as also "
Yeah, Im joking but stillΒ .... the lie detector is a hoax, it just measures the hearth pulse, if you dont care, the lie detector wont get triggered
Yeah net neutrality is a total bullshit, Im afraid this crap will come also in europe, probably france and germany will agree on that as ussually doing europe only harm than good (as they did with the "refugees" accepting a lot of muslims into europe, my grandparrents fought with tears, sweat and blood for my country to keep muslims out and look at germany, demanding us to accept those muslims, we defended the west from them and now they throw shit at us.

"you cant compare downloading a 20years old + video game and sharing government secrets"
I agree.Β Like I said, they're just afraid of another Chelsea Manning (despite the fact that I don't have access to the kind of information Manning did.Β My security clearance is lower than hers was, and my job is entirely unrelated to hers.Β But, like Manning did, I have regular access to a computer connected to the federal network, and that's what worries them.)Β I'm sure that after the hysteria over Manning dies down, they'll stop doing them.Β Or at least they'll stop asking that question.Β As you point out, there are ways to defeat them, which is why they're not admissible in court, so it's really just a waste of time.

True that man ....well no worriesΒ you could google those old games and find them LEGALLY and PRACTICALLY for free Β so no lie if you did not commit a felony right ?

Yeah, but the 68000 is described as a 16/32 CISC processor.Β It had 32-bit INTERNAL registers, data bus, and instruction set, but the ALU and external data bus were 16-bit.

It's amazing how strongly this communicates and brings up all that nostalgia and memories. And as the years go by, and those memories seem to fade further away, this image becomes even more powerful.
I recently lost my younger brother due to an accident. Looking at this picture takes me back to the years we used to sit and play together on the Amiga, fight over who won in two-player games, discover new and exciting things together... It's a real treasure.
Thanks again for creating and sharing it!

Commodore 64 was my first computer back in '91 in my very early years 4-6. Test Driver, Impossible Mission, Hot Wheels, Space Taxi. B.C. II Grogs Revenge, and a few others that have fallen to obscurity in my memory. #floppydiscsofloppy lol
