The small palm sized transitional form between Cyanopluma and the Squims . Note that the Ancestral Squims lack internalized gills instead they possess a skirt of blue gills just above their lateral undulating fins. They also possess 6 pinhole eyes less developed when compared to more modern Squims. Uniquely, the Ancestral Squims also lack the characteristic 5 pointed mouth of its later descendants, instead the mouth has 3 points with the two remaining rhinophores being utilized as barbells to better sense the environment.
