I got my wacom lead back, and I reinstalled Painter Classic. To celeberate, I drew this.I'm quite pleased with it on the whole. I like the textures, and the colours aren't as day-glo bright as usual. I kind of get the impression it's quite a shadowy, dimly lit cavern s/he's in.
Hurrah for painter!

I've been thinking about buying a wacom tablette, and it comes with painter classic. Do you recommend it?
I like the results anyway, though that just might be the painter.

If you have the funds to spare, I'd say yes. A tablet is a luxury, not a must have (Take a look at Merekat's early work, all of which was done with a mouse!) but I enjoy using it. I have more control, and a more fluid line.
However, if you live outside the US, it's next to impossible to get spare parts or support. So take good care of it ^^
