Looks very femtoish. Did he have this kind of feet? I can't remember but it looks pretty grotesque.
Overall a very solid job done here. The only "problem" may be that the feet are too detailed (shading etc.) compared to the rest of the body. But that doesn't ruin the piece.

I think the idea behind him is, he's a cross between a bat and a chicken, hatched like a chicken, which explains the feet. and in the story he asked to have wings. so......why not, bat wings. he's a chicken bat

Batchicken sounds like some kinda Batmans sidekick or something lol.
Anyway... I always thought that it was supposed to be a hawk/falcon.

anyway, I'm glad you said it looked grotesque, because somehow you gotta say to yourself that his "costume" is actually made up of flesh. so it is as though his physique is akin to a body stripped of it's skin and you're seeing his muscles.

True. I never really thought about that but yeah... you're absolutely right. That's probably related to how only the "core" of him (his dream) remained intact.
Weird that I didn't like his design very much at first but I've gotta admit that I'm starting to like it. Bad thing he got reborn.
