Unlike my other super-old costumes, Suu gets two pictures because it's special XD. Besides, the wings are the most important part of the costume! I made them out of Plexiglas and matboard, with spraypainted rhinestones as "screws." Each feather was sanded with steel wool to give it that frosted look. Since I had a 4-foot wingspan when wearing these things, I put a hinge on the base board for easier storage and transport.
These wings have long since been cut up and recycled into other costumes. That super-thin Plexiglas is really hard to find

I just finished reading this because the whole series came out in one book. Through the whole thing I was thinking that would be one heck of a cosplay outfit. Love it!

I am a bad person to ask for advice on making a wing harness. My wing harness was made badly and it was very painful!
