Will delete later. Just want to show that I'm not dead.

Sort of bad right now, lots of elements I'm still working on. But, I'm reworking a photo I took during my trip to Japan into a background for practice. I overlaid the photo, to get a sense of how buildings work.

Also playing around with coloring and shadows. I really haven't been good at this, but I think backgrounds are the best starting point for me to gain an understanding of how they relate.

I don't trace over images for my other works (they're all observational, besides another where I tried to include a photo), but for this I'm sticking strictly with my own photos (also because my photos have bad lighting - so it becomes a struggle trying to redraw lines on top of the photo itself. This is great for trying to interpret how things may work.)

I'm also getting a sense of how perspective works! Soon I'll try drawing it from reference.
