Personality Traits, Background Information, Role play History, and Character Quirks
PersonalityMoody/Mercurial - Spoiled - Excitable - Judgemental - Hypocritical - Curious - High Strung - Opinionated - Graceful
Galadriel is still a young cub and as such has a lot to still experience in the world. Moody and mercurial, she can easily butt heads with her older siblings and often comes off as spoiled. She is an easily excitable child though, and wants to spend most of her time expanding her horizons and learning from others. Judgemental of felines who are not from her family, she can often come across as both hypocritical and curious. This may come from her older sister, Aodh.
A high strung individual, she’s not the kind of cat to be told no and not see some kind of challenge in it. If something is demanded of her, she will often fight back against it if she feels it is unjust or unfair. She has a strong sense of justice and is willing to stand by it. Opinionated, it’s not uncommon for her to speak her mind and speak it freely. Graceful, Galadriel is the kind of cat who knows how to make an entrance, light on her paw and swift of foot. She will grow up to be a good hunter, if only because she knows how to tread gently without making too much noise.
Background
Galadriel was born from two felines who came from the ruins of a long gone empire. When a cat thinks of Air Empire nowadays, they think of the endless sea of grass that has become home to nothing more than rogues and outsiders, but from the way her parents explain it, their home was once full of life and the laughter of an empire so strong it could take on the skies.
A troubled youth bound to be a thorn in her older siblings' sides, Galadriel has a vision for the future and isn’t afraid of telling others about it. Regardless of how her life may end up, she is bound to cause trouble wherever she lands.

In that liminal space between night and day, the cover of shadow portrayed a much more sinister effect on her than the lynx that stood beneath it. She was not used to being under such a dense canopy of trees that so effectively hid the more distinct features of his pelt from her view. The thin pine branches and tundra biome of Ice rarely left her without at least some view of the sky above, and while most would find the exposure unwelcome, it was something that many a feline in Ice felt comforting.
In such open spaces she was less likely to be taken off guard by wolves or bears, something that was an ever constant threat at such high altitudes so far from the city. She watched the condensed branches beyond her companion, knowing that they held little solace for her. Though strangely, instead of thinking of spider webs or the looming threat of wolves, she found that the darkness beyond itched and tickled at the edges of her nightmares in a different way. If she focused on it long enough, she could hear the distant thundering calls of a large crowd, but she brushed it off with a flick of her ear.
This space did not belong to her, a distinct disadvantage she held compared to her companion. Though she was clearly unbothered by the lynx before her.
If anything, he took that edge off of her worries, though she couldn't exactly identify why that was the case.
"I'm surprised to know..."
Dread prickled at Nedria's pelt as his clipped tone struck her as hard as his unsheathed claws. She was silently thankful she had little issue keeping her face controlled under the pressure, though she was inwardly scolding herself over making it seem as if her empire was wary of its neighbors. While true, they were often more concerned about what the absence of that reliability meant for their southern border. Just as she had worried earlier about what had happened to the patrol, she knew that would be the concern that Kahla would hold as well.
Normally, she was better at avoiding such social blunders, but she did remind herself this was her first time handling such an important task with another empire, and he may have misunderstood her intent. She was allowed to make mistakes, though she found little comfort in the thought. Instead, she found it was better to be honest. This wasn't a blunder, she had nothing to hide if she wanted to be blunt with the feline before her.
"We keep track of most of the other empires who border our territory, more out of concern for our neighbors than anything else. If we know we have reliable neighbors and they suddenly stop marking their borders, it can easily be a sign of danger or a warning that something has happened. I understand we can be occasional enemies when it comes to territory disputes..." She paused, looking at him with her glacial gaze. "... but I hope you can also see that we're not trying to poke holes in your ability to defend your territory. The... forest... isn't really in our realms of interest as far as resources go..." It wasn't clipped, but there was certainly an undercurrent to her words that portrayed the exact image most empires had of the northern empire. Our concerns are elsewhere.
As he chuffed, she relaxed, realizing that there had been a blunder in communication between the two of them, but it was not one he had fully decided to take offense to. "I hope you understand I did not mean to make it seem as such." She added, her voice softening as she watched him.
Realization dawned on the snow leopardess as she stood before him and the darkness. The ease in which the lightly armored feline held was more a difference in their upbringing than anything, though living within Fire Empire's borders must've further pushed him into his element. From the distance they had originally shared, she had not seen the scars that battered his frame. She did not marvel at them, but she couldn't help but quietly file the information away to consider later. She could feel the title of Coliseum fighter clinging to him like a second skin. She did observe that he appeared to be trying to shed that from his being, much like she was still removing herself from the pampered life she held before she had come to the empires.
He was direct. Something she appreciated more than she let on. She could talk pleasantries all day and get nowhere if allowed to do so. Her mouth had a tendency of getting ahead of her mind, something she was still carefully working to fix.
She didn't expect him to soften, the hard worn gladiator skin she had observed from before falling behind as a much gentler feline emerged. In the sharp relief of the open air, where the forest no longer touched and darkened his features, she felt herself take an involuntary breath inwards. He was much more scarred than she had originally interpreted, but she felt more enthralled by his eyes. They burned into her, like twin coals buried deep within only the most reliable of forges.
Recognition flared within her as bright as the morning sun but petered out before she could place it. Frustration clawed at her belly momentarily, but she decided to ignore her want to chase that feeling that had flooded her senses. Where had she seen him before? It felt like an older memory than that of her time in the empires, but that didn't feel right. Now wasn't the time to unpack it anyway. What was happening here and now was far more important than a pseudo memory pressing into her skull.
"I'm relieved to hear that." She responded in turn, mirroring his movement as best she could to come to a stop just as far from the border as he was. "To both things. I would hate to take you away from caring for anyone who may be injured just for a bit of information." It was an unspoken thing, but she made it clear that she believed that any empire's gladiators, whether hers or others, mattered more to her than anything else.
As the moonlight illuminated the area around them, it lifted a sense of foreboding off of her shoulders. It was nice to feel light, even if it was feeble. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Soren. I'm Nedria, Silver of Ice Empire." She smiled openly.
His scar struck her as important, but why was still... oddly unexplainable. She needed to focus, feeling as if she had fallen back into her own thoughts instead of the present. Forcing herself into the present, she returned to his words. She scrambled momentarily to find meaning to them, uncertain on whether he was inviting her onto his territory or beyond for a brief moment before she managed to connect the dots. "I have no preference if that is what you are worried about. Since I am already so far from my normal element, I shall leave that decision fully to you. Know that I am not afraid of stepping further into the trees, and since I came to you, I feel it is wiser for you to set the location in which we speak."
She couldn't describe the feeling she held in her chest in those moments that she stood closer to him, as if she was about to break something more than just the unspoken metaphysical barrier if she stepped over into his territory.
