Description
I drew this with pencil. I looked at nothing but what came to my mind.The branches took a long time. LOL

see and I'd love to see you do more stuff like this.
I like the depth you've created with the overlaying branches. The Pumpkins a little lazy, but I'm guessing you just got bored near the end.

Your art is beautiful... this tree is fantastic and the branches are incredible... No wonder it took you some time and that you had to work on them that much!!!

I love the intricacy and the color, (or the lack thereof). The muted tone gives this piece a flair, I think. A mood that goes along with the drawing very, very well. I don't know whether it's relaxed, calm, or sad, but there's some emotionality behind this.
I also love the somewhat subtle sketchiness. I see all these perfect, digitally drawn deviations, or exact curves and shapes and lines here on deviantART. But I love it when a piece looks more like art than real life - more unnatural to the eye and more natural to the heart or spirit or soul. Something speaks. And this does. (:
Excellent work. I love it!
And sorry for the long comment. ;--;

Thanks so much!
I really appreciate comments like this. I drew this straight out of my head without looking at a tree. It does come from the mind and soul.
Have a great day!

Nice, quiet one.
It is not an abstract, but I think it's still close to your typical style with an abundance of intricate details. I hope you try a few more still lifes like this one; using overwhelming, almost abstract ornamentation within a figurative framework.
Artists who do that are among my favorites. There are many, but here is one of the best, Jos Smith:

Thanks for that link! I have been thinking about pulling the pencil out again, I just hate the mess most the time. Ink is so much better to work with. LOL
Jos Smith is awesome!
Thanks!
