Description When I listen Arcade Fire's song, "Ready To Start," ( [link] ) it gives me a bit of an energized feeling. Rather than the pumped, action-filled feeling of a fast-paced rock song or the like, where you feel like you can punch holes through walls, when I listen to this song--especially the ending around the 3:30 mark--I get the feeling of being unbreakable in hardships, of starting a day off fully rested...of rejuvination...of taking flight.

To convey this emotion, I used my oldest characater (duration of creation rather than age, since she's 15 when the story starts going), Erin. Gentle, loving, and meek in the traditional sense, this "true espor" is a character that I love using angelic imagery with, and I feel that she works well with the soaring feeling in this song. I hope you enjoy!!!

The song, "Ready To Start," is the property of Arcade Fire.

WOW! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Truly, that means a lot to me!

I'll tell you exactly what I did, and you'll be horribly, horribly unimpressed. For the trail tracks, I just put colors just shades different down next to each other and used the controlled blend tool. As for the pants...I have some program called "PhotoImpact" that I got free with my tablet. Next to no one seems to have ever heard of it. For the different drawing tools it has (paint, marker, airbrush, bristle brush, etc...) you can alter the "texture". There are about 20 textures that it offers, and a few of them are similar, so I generally use two or three on top of each other with the airbrush so that none are glaringly solid.

I hope that helps, but I know that it probably doesn't. I've never downloaded a single brush pack...mainly because I don't know what the dickens I'm doing when it comes to digital art. Heck, I can't even figure out how to use layers on this program...or know why the eraser only works once in a while on rare occasions that I can't seem to understand what the required situation really ARE. I don't really know how to use the program, so I just flounder around aimlessly trying to do whatever seems like it works.
