Whoa, geez. If I get that head in my room, I'd be haunted forever because I'd be terrified of it... never know if it will open their eyes. *ducks* It's extremely real. Heck, I'm expecting it to open it's eyes here on monitor and just... kill me by popping out of the screen (like some ppl mentioned). :S Way freaking too real!

*gulps* I'm going to stop commenting and leave before it opens its eyes. :S However, great work.. maybe too real lol

Brilliant, the hair distracts actually, the facial expression suite a totally bald guy.

That is incredibly realistic...I feel like he's suddenly going to snap his eyes open and lunge out of my monitor and kill me...

Thanks for the comment, and no this piece is not in my bedroom but if it was it would be quite mello compared to what works are in the house. Reality can be a scary thing.

Very cool indeed! He sort of resembles Leonard Nimoy - with a mohawk, granted A great concept, well executed!

Such a detailed work! I bet he would be scarier with his eyes open, but then eyes i guess are difficult to create with clay. Now he realey seems so alive!

Really amazing - Just so you know, I think your link to your smaller works (in the description for this piece) is broken ...

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Intro-Extro In reply to cymru [2005-01-30 05:57:54 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the comment and the info, the link probably got mess up when DA tryed a new catigory and put my work in with crafts and then recreated the sculpture section but didn't bother to put some of my works back into sculpture where it was originally submited.
If you or anyone you know is interested Deviant MsJ777 sells my smaller works and her link is always up to date she is in my watch list.
By the way you take some really sharp images and format them quite professionally.

Thanks, Most of the work is in the past to get to this point in figurative sculpture. A long but enjoyable journey

It's awesome! Really brilliant, all the facial expression and all...though I think perhaps the skin should've been darker...the man could've been an Indian, seeing as you called this the Mowhawk, no? Brilliant!

incredible. I really wanna learn how to do clay. I research a bunch but never got any good info, if you have any link suggestions I'd be more than happy to take them

Intro-Extro In reply to StareDecisis [2005-01-30 20:29:44 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the comment, as far links for doing clay work I know of none, There are some decent books out but the best way to learn how to use clay and have the facilities is to take a class The community coleges in your area are cheaper than renting a studio. I will be taking a life size piece to be cast in bronze to your area this summer. AZ Bronze casting.

StareDecisis In reply to Intro-Extro [2005-01-30 22:39:54 +0000 UTC]

What part of AZ? I love clay and I worked with a bit of polymer but that seems like nothing compared to actual huge sculptures.

Intro-Extro In reply to milk-bar [2005-01-30 23:10:11 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the comment, I have used references from images to models and measurements, this piece for a class room demonstration I used my head measurements (gives bone structure) then used my imagination for the rest adding features From other people I done.
