Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you're having a great day ^^

For this last day of Spooktober I decided to draw a Martian Fighting Machine from H. G. Wells' The War of the Worlds, based on the surrealist illustrations by Alvim Corrêa done for a Belgian edition in 1906. There are hundreds of different interpretations of the Martians and their machines, but these ones are my personal favorites, due to how strange they look with those giant eyes, you know it's a machine, but it looks kind of alive, which fits how they're described in the book, but with a more surreal look.

And who knows, one day I may be able to do my own versions too, perhaps for a big project ^^ And I'm also interested in drawing the ones from the 1978 Album and the 2005 Spielberg movie.
