Looks great!!! Love the lighting and shading!!! The pose turned out great too! Reminds me of the hunger games, you know, fighting to survive and that sort of thing.
Studies can be really fun! You can make them as detailed of as sketch as you want. Before making a masterpiece, sketching things out several times with different poses, perspectives, and angles can really help you get a better sense of what you want your piece to look like, but it's not always necessary.
