I remade her: [link] I drew that version at the beginning of summer 2010.
I pretty much completely remade the design of a midnight dragon since then, so she looks very different. She's pretty much the ruler of midnight dragons. I think I prefer a design like this over my original design.
It took forever to get the rainbow colors on. I couldn't think of a background. I painted the base colors on Corel Painter 4, and I shaded on Gimp. The "multiply" layer setting and eraser tool are very useful in multicolor shading.
