***Your POV***

October 3, 1990

You gently placed your cold hands and then your warm forehead against the wall.

"It's been so long...I wonder if he looks the same as he did that day." You whispered out.

"I remember it so clearly to..."

*** flash back***

Your body hit the hard ground as you could feel warm blood on running over your hands. You opened your (color) eyes to see that even though you where bleeding it wasn't your blood that was cascading over your hands. At the bottom of your sandal covered feet lay Gilbert with a gun shot wound that went clearly through his chest.

You turned your head to see Ludwig standing completely still as if he was frozen in time. The only two things you could see moving was tears that started to freely roll down his face and the white smoke rising from the barrel of his silver gun.

"L-Ludwig-" You quietly whispered out.

"Shut up! I don't vant to hear your voice right now!" Ludwig snapped as he threw the silver gun on the ground and started to walk forward towards his brother.

You watched as Ludwig bent down and placed two of his fingers on Gilbert's neck.

"Get out of here..." You barely heard Ludwig say.

"What! Why? Don't you need-"

"GET OUT OF HERE YOU MONSTER! Do it before I change my mind und decide to put a bullet zhrough you too!" Ludwig yelled out in anger.

You quickly acted as you grabbed your mothers neckless that was ironically submerged in the Prussians blood as you got to your feet and ran.

After that day you ran to America's house because he was a safe haven for Jews at the time...

***end flashback***

"Are you sure you want to do this (Name)? Your still not feeling well." America asked as he came up behind you.

"Yes I want to see him again..." You said before your lungs went into a coughing fit.

"Alright, I have to go now to help out my boss but as soon as we're done I'll fine you again okay?" America said as he gave you his "I'm the Hero" scarf and placed it around your bare neck.

"Sounds perfect." You hummed out as you enjoyed the warmth of the red, white and blue scarf.

You watched as America ran off as you studied the streets of Berlin.

"T-They seem so cold and bitter..." You commented as you looked at the darkness that seemed to cloak the once thriving city.

You seemed to stand perfectly still, just like Ludwig had after he shot his brother.

"Oh Ludwig...is this how your heart is feeling?" You questioned to yourself as you once again placed your delicate hands on the cold surface of the section of the Berlin Wall that still stood.

"(N-Name)?"

You turned around almost with tears in your eyes as you heard your name called out in that thick German accent.

"L-Ludwig?!" You called back happily.

"Vhat are you doing here?!?" Ludwig called out shocked.

"I came to see you, it looks like we share a birthday now!" You chimed out.

"B-But Israel was unified on May 14, 1948 not October 3?" Ludwig said puzzled.

"My human birth day, Ludwig. Not my country's." you said with a big smile on your face.

"Ja... Vell first off address me as Germany." Ludwig said sternly.

"But Ludwig!"

"It's Germany!" Ludwig said sternly but more irritated this time.

"F-Fine Germany. How are you doing? With all of this I mean." You said as you placed a your hand on his chest.

"Fine. Vhat is your real reason to be here?" Germany asked sharply.

"You've changed so much... Your heart is so cold Ludwig." You said as you forcefully placed your head on Germany's chest.

"Stop zhis foolishness!" Germany said as he tried to force you off his body.

"Don't you remember when we were kids? How happy and care free we where? Do you remember our first kiss, do you Ludwig? Or have you let hurt and blood shed put a barrier around your heart?" You asked as you looked in to Germany's now dull blue eyes.

"Ve vhere teenagers back zhen our hormones did all zhe talking und zhoughs good times you speak of are long gone, so I suggest zhat you move on." Germany said flatly.

"Ludwig why can't things be like they where that morning, you happy and me in that blue dress-"

"Zhings vell never be zhe same (Name), let it go."

"Why can't we just go back I still love you Ludwig!"

"NO!" Germany yelled as he slapped you across the face.

"Ve can't...it von't vork...just let it go." Germany said as he didn't make eye contact with you.

"I'll be here for you when it happens..." You said calmly.

"Vhat are you going on about!"

"Things haven't been a walk in the park for me. I have lost both sets of my parents my sibling and I even killed my brother. I learned I was a country and have been suffering with the responsibilities and burdens that come with it... I guess you could say that the picture frame of my life is broken, and in some places it will never be fixed...."

"Vhat does zhat have to do vith anyzhing." Germany asked coldly.

"Even though the frame is broken it doesn't mean that the picture inside is ruined... Germany the Berlin Wall has come down, when are you going to let the wall that you have created around your heart come down as well?" You asked honesty and by the hurt yet shocked look on Germany's face you could tell he got the message.

"Vhat did you mean earlier?" Germany whispered out.

"When you finally let your walls come down, I will be here waiting for you with open arms."

"Ja...vell let it go (Name) zhis is zhe new me..." Germany said as you watched his face become cold and bitter yet again.

"I'll wait for you because I love you, Ludwig." You said as you let a smile cover your face.

" I vill never be zhe same, let. It. Go!" Germany said coldly as he looked into your (color) eyes one last time before waking away into the cold streets of Berlin.

"(Name)! Come on we have to head home now!" You heard America yell.

"Okay... Let me do one last thing." You replied as you pulled a blue cornflower from your beautiful (color) hair and placed it at the base of what was left of the Berlin Wall.

***huge time skip***

"So umm (Name) you got anymore food?" You heard America yell.

"One America we're in the same room so use your inside voice, two you have eaten two bags of chips and three hamburgers and a box of Twinkies! How much more room do you have in your stomach?!" You half jokingly half seriously huffed out.

"(Name) I'm a hero and awesome heroes need fuel to kick butt, so yes I'm still hungry! And on that note what's an "inside voice"?" America asked as he was sprawled across your in tire couch.

"You know what never mind forget I said anything! I'm out of your beloved hamburgers so what else would you like me to make you?" You asked as you cleaned up the mess that the American had made.

"Corn dogs and a cake oh and if you could totally make some home made ice cream!" America begged as like a four year old.

"Yes...I can do that give me some time." You said as you made your way into your kitchen.

"How can one human eat all that!?" You mumbled to yourself.

You loved the American to death but sometimes he was a hand full!

You just chuckled to yourself as you started to get out the supplies to make corn dogs, a cake and ice cream.

***knock knock knock***

"(NAME)! SOMEONE'S AT THR DOOR!!!" America screamed from the living room.

"Can you get it for me?" You asked as your hands where full of pots, pans and even a frying pan.

"It's kinda out of my way... I don't think I would make it in time.."

***knock, knock, knock***

"I'm sorry! I'm coming!" You yelled as you just dropped all the pots and pans on the hard wood floor. Not knowing what else to do with them.

"You quickly ran to the door as you tucked your (fav color) bra strap underneath your black tank top and did a quick brushing of your hair with your hand.

You placed your hand on the cool golden door knob as you gently twisted it to the right until you heard the "click" letting you know to pull the door open.

You smiled what had to be your biggest smile ever, at what you saw. It had been such a long time.

"L-Ludwig?!"

***flash back***

"Okay go say hallo to mien bosses little boy." Your father said as he pushed your nervous form closer and closer to the boy.

"Hallo mien name ist Ludvig." The golden haired boy said as he looked at you with his big light blue eyes.

"M-Mien name ist (N-Name)..." You whispered from behind your Vaters leg.

"Come now (Name), Ludvig is a nice boy und I bet he vants to be friends vith you." Your Vater said as he ripped you off his leg and left you and Ludwig to work things out.

"Do you really want to be friends?" You asked scared as you played with the hymn of your (color) dress.

"Ja. I vould like to be friends if you vould..." Ludwig said before trailing off with a bright blush on his little face.

"Ja, Ja I do!" You said as you hugged the tiny confused German. Once your neves calmed down your true personality was able to blossom.

"Ja..." Ludwig said as he hugged you back.

"We'll be best friends forever, right!" You said with a sparkle in you big (color) eyes.

"Pinky promise?" You said with a hint of fear in your tiny voice.

"Ja Ich pinky promise zhat ve vill be best friends forever!"

***end flash back***

"Ja (Name) it's me." Ludwig said calmly with a single blue corn flower in his hand.

"I-I so happy, you came back!" You cried out as you threw your body at Ludwig.

"Ja I made a promise didn't I?" Ludwig said as you felt him place his Nation's flower in your hair.

"We made a promise!.." You corrected with a huge smile still on your face.

"I'm glad your back Ludwig..."

"I am too, and now zhat my valls are gone ve can finally start vorking on zhat picture frame of yours."
