Here is some more info on the head-canon! Arachnid (A sort of IZ headcanon)Please do not claim this idea as your own. This is just an idea I had while making toast. This is just info, its not a story yet.
I was thinking about a cool thing that could happen, and I was thinking of this sorta virus that spread all over the earth, causing a worldwide panic. It would cause anyone who was infected to grow horrible appendages from parts of their body, usually taking on the appearance of claws or spider legs. The people infected become very violent, having a zombie-like yearning for flesh from living creatures. What makes them differ from zombies, is the fact that they still have memories and a conscience, but their mind is clouded, making them unable to think properly. Another thing is that they are still alive. They are still alive even after the virus has completely taken over. The virus becomes one with their brain basically, heavily controlling the person's actions. What is left of the person is usually not very apparent, except that they can still ta

Anyways! Here is some info on the virus!

-Ways its spread: Through physical contact with the infected, being bitten/ cut by the infected, sharing bodily fluids with someone who is infected.

-Why is it called 'Arachnid'?: Because the virus makes you grow extra appendages that resemble scorpion claws or spider legs.

-Can Zim be infected?: No, earth sickness does not affect him.

-Is there a cure?: No, but if you are cut/bitten by an infected, you can remove an infected area within 24 hours and be fine. Anything over 24 hours and you are sure to be completely infected.

-Are they zombies?: Sorta, they crave living flesh, but unlike zombies, they are still alive and have limited control over their actions. They also have a conscience, but it is clouded by the virus. Also unlike zombies, they can feel pain and speak, though it is very slurred and scrambled.

-Can they control the new appendages when infected?: Yes, they are used in situations of self defense and to attack others. They can even use them to walk around if they want to.
