Description
Been writing a Knuckles-centric flashback in a later chapter of "The Grind" and it's all been pretty depressing (the kid's had a helluva childhood) so I had to cheer myself up with a bit of art from a time when his mother was still alive and things weren't so bad.

So here's li'l Knuckles and Lara-Le, my redesign of her for this series anyhow. I really like how she turned out - she looks like the type that could make anyone feel wanted, very serene. And Knux just worships her as the be-all-end-all of his existence.

The title comes from the lyrics of a song the Chippettes sang in "The Chipmunk Adventure", which I think fits the moment perfectly:
