Description
A Few Years LaterA young Irken girl strutted down the hall, a blue veil covered her face, her turquoise "heels" making a click-clack on the floor, and her orange and blue dress dragging on the ground behind her. She stopped to check out a few boy soldiers a few years older than her from the academy, then grinned to herself. Before any of them could notice her, she pulled a small sugar cookie from her pocket, dropped it in front of herself, and bent over to pick it up. "Boys!" she called pretending to be helpless. "Oh boys, your Princess could use some help!" Barely after a second the seductive words left her mouth, all of them were by her side, trying to help her…or staring at her butt. The sound of angry feet marching down the hall made the Irken girl freeze. Her eyes widened as her antenna shot forward.
"Soldiers, back to your ranks, I can't even believe this!" another Irken girl, this one a few years older than the first wearing a yellow veil and a purple and gold dress, commanding, her hands on her hips. Immediately, the cadets ran back to where they had been standing, blushing and whispering to each other. The first Irken girl stood up straight again and brushed her cookie off on her dress. She bit into it and looked up at the other. The two stared at each other for a moment. "Are you okay?" the second asked, shooting the soldiers a look.
"Ah, come on Zarky, I'm fine, the big bad boys didn't hurt your cute little sis!" she giggled and gave the group a flirty wave. She got a few whistles and catcalls in return. Zark rolled her golden eyes and grabbed Zexti's dead antenna.
"Mom wants to talk to us," she said before dragging her little sister off.

"Since when does any offfffffffffff this make sense!?" SDV1 complained, looking over some blueprints. Larx-Mer, ignoring her, continued to piece together metal for a model.
"We're not replacing you, so stop thinking that," Fornox scolded the droid, looking over Minke's clipboard.
"That's exactly what you're doing! It shows so right here!" she said, throwing the blueprints at him. Fornox caught them in one hand.
"Where are you supposed to be right now?" he asked.
"You're replacing me-!"
"Where are you supposed to be right now?" he cut her off. SDV1's antennas drooped.
"Watching the kids…"
"Watching the kids. Why don't you go do that?" he asked in a soothing, frightening tone. SDV1 muttered something to herself before walking out. As soon as she was out of earshot, Fornox looked to Larx-Mer.
"This one's not going to end up the same?" he asked.
"Yes. I'm sure of it," Larx-Mer sighed, looking up at his colleague. Fornox rubbed his head.
"How can you be so sure?"
"I'm me!" Larx-Mer chuckled as Fornox rolled his red eyes.

Zark dragged Zexti into the parlor and sat on the antique couch. Zexti painfully dragged herself up next to her and straightened her veil. Zygia stood facing the other way, staring out a large floor-to-ceiling-window. "What's up, Mommy?" Zexti asked, blinking, confused as to what she had done wrong this time. Zygia shut her light pink eyes, took a few deep breaths, then opened her eyes again, and then turned slowly to face her two young daughters. Zark looked at her worriedly. Zygia smiled gently, kneeled in front of them until they were face to face, and gently lifted up both their veils.
"My two little daughters…" she said softly, smiling. "My two girls…growing up too fast…"
"Mommy?" Zexti asked, taking her mother's hand and putting it up against her cheek. Zygia giggled quietly.
"Nothing's wrong, girls…" she said, lifting up her other hand and rubbing both of their faces. "What would you say…if there was another little girl?" Both Zark and Zexti's eyes widened.
"You don't mean…" Zark asked, locking eyes with her Mother. Zygia smiled and nodded. "So…" Zark looked at Zexti who seemed to be on the edge of a panic attack.
"But…Mommy…you said…I'm your little girl!" she stuttered. Zygia nodded.
"You are, trust me, Zexti, you always will be," the female Tallest smiled.
"But, how can I, be, if…" Zexti jumped up from the couch and ran out.
"Zexti, wait!" Zygia called out, but received no response. She sighed and looked at Zark.
"I think it's great," Zark smiled sweetly. Zygia smiled lightly.
"You do?"
"Of course," her daughter giggled, and they embraced.
