I am forever grateful that the judges gave me a week extension.

Honestly...I didn't even know if I would get it done. I have been having an awful time lately. November was busy for me, and the start of December has been terrible. I'm in a fight with members of my immediate family AND my extended family and it's really wearing on me...so much so that I didn't know if I could get this done even with the week extension. I try my hardest to keep a smile on my face and act like nothing's wrong, which I think hurts me more. I think I need people to know what's going on to help me feel better instead of just wallowing in misery by myself. I finished this yesterday but didn't know if I even wanted to upload it...but I pulled through as best as I could right now and here it is.

With that aside, November's theme was "Talents". Since Lyekal is a singer/actress by profession, that is what I went with. I drew her onstage at one of her concerts. She's wearing one of her many costumes for her performances; a wedding dress. Why? Well, because the song she's singing is about love/marriage/all that gross sappy stuff and was written while she was still just engaged to her now-husband. Being engaged and getting ready to be a wife was the second most incredible time of her life, the first of which was having her smeet. Which is another talent of hers that is symbolized in the wedding dress she's wearing; being able to have a crazy celebrity career while still making enough time to be with her husband and smeet.

For those who are wondering what a Lyekal Morard concert is like; it's a spiritual experience. It's like a crazy indie rock cult gathering. Lyekal REALLY likes to sing with her eyes closed, which is the reason her eyes are closed in this picture. And although she can't dance for shit, she does like to make slow hand gestures to emphasize what she's singing about. On the topic of singing, she sings live, which seems crazy in today's world. Lyekal also will go down in the audience a few times to take selfies with fans/take gifts from them, and she'll sometimes take a cigarette break onstage.

My favorite part of this whole piece are the lights at the bottom. I did a lot of fiddling around with them until I was happy with how they looked, and I absolutely love how they turned out.
