Description
Remember my picture "Graffiti"? The one where I said I was now on the Myst fancharacters bandwagon, but that the character in the picture wasn't my Strangersona? I decided to remedy that. Nora's actually the focus here-the other two are supporting characters in a story I'll probably never write.Nora Greene: An URU-era stranger who recently joined the DRC. She idolizes the explorers of the past. At times, her attempts to emulate them (or at least help people and/or figure out what's going on) bring her into minor conflicts with the DRC's policies and bureaucraticness (bureaucratic character of DRC is apparently canon-taken from Sharper's journal). Desperately wants to have a pet squee, but can't. Analytic and can be calm when she needs to, but is usually geeking out over her surroundings. Cheerful and somewhat hyper. Her green hair is dyed (natural color-dark brown). Yes, I went there with her shirt.
*notes: She was originally named Tora because I wanted something that sounded unusual but still like a name, but then I learned that it was Japanese for tiger. I changed it because it wouldn't make sense for her to have a Japanese name and I didn't want the Mary Sue finger pointed. (She's not one to begin with, but I knew what people would say.) Her green hair is a joke based on my humanized Bionicle fanfic-I made human Lesovikk (who also has green hair) a little bit of a Myst fanboy because reasons.
Will Sparks: Nora's best friend. Meant to be a bit of a plainer character to balance her and Maya. Also works for the DRC. Less-than-helpful sometimes. Yes, his shirt design is a stick figure getting struck by a lightning bolt. I'm not sure why I did that (apart from his lightning theme for the same joke as Nora's hair), but it works for him.
Maya: The first stranger from Narayan. While she understands the need to maintain the traditions (goodness knows everyone there knows what happens when you don't), she still resents some of the roles forced on her and was more than willing to leave Narayan when Nora dragged her into one of her half-baked plans. She has a bit of a reputation as a rebel, spitfire, and street artist. Her most prized possessions are a set of spray paint cans she picked up on Earth and a striped scarf that Nora gave her (secondary color palette under her main one is for the scarf, which isn't pictured here). She cares deeply about her friends.
*note: Her name comes from one of the names of Lakshmi, the consort of Vishnu (also known as Narayana) in Hinduism.
The fact that this is yet another red-blue-green trio isn't intentional, but I like the way it worked out.
Myst belongs to Cyan Worlds. These characters are my fancharacters.
