Description
I sat on the sofa, picking up a pencil, my clipboard with paper already on it. Recently, my older brother had hit me, trying to get the remote, so I hit him back, and then he punched me. I fell onto the floor, clutching my chest, my friend, Jessica, watching.

This wasn't how I wanted my day to be. I stood and weakly ran ot the door, into the backyard, where I collapsed onto the grass. I heard yelling inside. A couple of minutes later, Jessica walked out and kneeled beside me. She yelled to my mother, "Found her!" I said, "Shut up, idiot! I don't want anyone to know where I am!" She stood, "Oh well. I know." I tried to sit, "Go home." She shook her head. "Nope. You're stuck with me," I yelled, angered,"GO GOME YOU RETART!" She backed away, narrowed her eyes angrily, and ran home.

I looked down at my chest, which had ice packs on it. This was not good. So, I picked up the phone, diled her number and waited. She picked up. "Hello?" she asked. I responded, "Hey, it's Shannon. Look, Jess, I'm sorry I yelled at you...sorta. You didn't do anything." I heard her sigh on the other end of the phone, "Well, my mom said I can't play with you again..sorta." And with that, she hung up.

I sat there, holding the phone to my ear, listening to the dial tone..
