Thank you so much! This is awesome
I never made it to River Country but had seen pictures of it. Another thing I miss is the Island that used to have a boat launch from The Magic Kingdom that had all sorts of animals on it. When it was decided to create Animal Kingdom, then the island was shut down.
You've got the theme parks all covered from the water parks to the original parks. People who haven't been to WDW just have no idea how massive it is! The parks evolve all the time, which makes every trip there special.
Again, thank you!!!!!!

Well, I had to use Google on this one since I haven't been to Disney World.
Plus I wanted to pay a little tribute to River Country by just doing that little riverbank doodle. Glad you liked it! ^^

It is an amazing trip if you get a chance to go to WDW. My daughter and I get a package that includes the resorts, theme park tickets and food then we fly into MCO in Orlando and The Magical Express picks us up and gets/delivers the luggage to our room. Check-in is done using the app on the phone, so it isn't necessary to stand in line to check-in. Disney thinks of everything!
River country is part of the original resort I do believe that opened in 1971. It was considered part of Fort Wilderness, which is still there. We've been over to Fort Wilderness to see the Hoop de Do Revue a couple times, and to walk around and take in the rustic feel.
Hubby and I first went to WDW in 1977 when we stopped in Kissimmee to pick up my younger sister from school. We had a couple days to be tourists, so my husband suggested we go to WDW, which was just the one park back then. I replied, "oh, I don't know, do you think we'll like it"? Famous last words!
WDW is a "Home Away from Home"
