ok so heres an new update. done some heavy changesi dont think im all finished with it so.
but yeahmade some heavy improvements
and as many requested i did change the navigation buttons
i rly hope u guys like em or il kill u
and new start button
and lots of other stuff
well well entoj for now
cuz i dont think i will be making so much more on this
and i dont think il do so much next week either.

the esiest way is to change with restorator i think though u can start it it admonostrator and just change it through there and it makes a back-up for ya

if u get restorator (not the trail version) open with administrator, open the original file, extract it to somewere safe, then open the file u wanna overwrite the dlls with.. the new file that is, and just overwrite the old ones

I really like your themes, just a question though... Is there a feature to turn off the autohide on the taskbar? While I like this theme I prefer the beta 2 version. If I could get that without the autohide it would be my favorite.

cus the refresh button and search button is in the browseui.dll file so it doesnt come with the theme, even though if changed tghose for myself to all white now!

hmm... i like the new min/max/close buttons..
i prefered the start menu in beta 2.. although this one is not bad it seems that there is something missing there =/
about the transparency in the adress bar... well i think you should do 2 versions.. one with trans and other without...
i have to see what fits better in my case...
but still, GREAT theme! THE BEST i've hever seen so FAR!

oh well.. ive seen theres like apps to change the transparency level
and i like the one i have.. cuz it fits all the otgher stuff.
if i change the taskbar to a lil lighter than i have to change the start menu and so on ;O

amazing. props for getting so much work done on this. I honestly have no more suggestions unless you wana do some alternate versions (color scheme etc). I would use this as is hands down.

I just recently figured this out. you need to change the shell32.dll file in windows/system32. directions here:

IMPORTANT NOTE:
I got an error when I tried to save/overwright the shell32.dll in system32. not sure why, but what I did was saved it as a new file to my desktop, then tried to copy it over to system32. As everyone should do when messing with .dll's, I renamed the original to [link] so I would have a backup in case it didnt work, BEFORE I copied the new shell32 file over. DO NOT DO THIS. it crashed my comp, and the only way I revived it was to load in safe mode with cmd prompt (explorer+the task mngr crashed in safe mode).
What you need to do is:
1. copy the original shell32.dll to your desktop or another folder THEN rename it to [link]
2. now take your new shell32.dll (the one you made with resourcehacker) and OVERWRITE it into the windows/system32 folder.
3. finally, take the original that you copied over in step one (shell32.dll.old) and move it into windows/system32
its important to note that you must have sufficient rights on your computer to do all of this. the tutorial will explain.

Amazing! I love how minimal it is love how it doesn't look like all the other VS (they all basically try to pull of the Longhorn feel). The start button looks alot better now really cool. I like how the address bars are completely transparent too. And you pull that off quit nicely. The min/max/close buttons look really cool too. I'm going to go give it a run now. Looking forward to it.
Also to edit/make a visual style, will I need to purchase Restorator 2007? Or can I just use the trial?

-The AutoHide bar causes some problems if you move your mouse slightly over it and is some what annoying.
-The old StartMenu menu overlay I though suited this theme alot better.
-The Windows Text Glow is a bit too much, maybe tone it down some.
-When you hover over the address/search bars' items it doesn't look good on this VS imo. If anything I think just having them with a plain little darker in transparency square box would look good.
-And for the obvious..the rest of the blue.
These are just my thoughts of course. This is your VS you can do to it what you want, I'm just throwing in a few options.
