I'm just hoping Cairo comes out soon; it looks like the awesome. Even better, I hope Microsoft just fulfills their promises with Windows 7 (lighter, faster, smaller, componentized, etc.). But then again, I'm pretty scared of that whole Trusted Computing thing...

Yeah. Supposedly they got really close to going alpha but then lost the entire code base. The last news post on their site was June 26, explaining that it will be delayed again.
I heard they had to stop taking donations because everyone thought they were being scammed...

Well, truth be told, I have no machine because my daad stole it from me. But before, the GUI couldn't boot so it would just go into command line. The model I plan to get as a replacement can start Linux, but there's a bug that causes it to overheat or leave the fan on full-blast all the time (and have no sound). So until Ibex, I'm out in the cold.

Well I plan on getting the HP tx2500, and the Linux kernel has problems with it, so it'll leave the fan off (which, of course, causes overheating). But if you run a script it resolves the overheating problem by running the fan on full blast at all times and won't play sounds.

oh ok :S weird.. well right now im on making a hackintosh to work, ive come rly far.. well.. i can install it and everything after i patched the osx dvd, but theres something wrong with the graphic drivers so when osx start my screens die. hope to get it to work today
so like 4am last night i had to install ubuntu to get grub so i could boot my vista xD

Hah hah, that happened to me once. Then when I reinstalled Ubuntu, I gave it everything leftover from my Vista partition, so I had no room left!
About the Hackintosh thing, I wouldn't know. I'm really hoping to get an HP tx2500 soon, and some guy on YouTube made it into a Hackintosh.

resizing the partitions and such.
so im gonna give it a go this weekend
i have got it to work before
even tho the graphic card ans sound didnt work properly.
well.. the graphic card didnt.. the sound didnt cuz i tweaked my sound inputs in vista so the cords wasnt in place xD lol
but if i get everything to work this time im gonna be happy

yeah u need to change ur browseui.dll file in ur system32 folder
i have a cupple of browseui.dll in my collection. nothing i recommend to change if u dont know what to do tho :/
