ok so this is what i have come up with now from my idΓ©, it got a lil darker then it should cuz of the stream. ima look if i can do it a lil lighter, but yeah.. the start menu isnt ready cuz i dont know how to hex editing, and i dont think i want a white background. but yeah.. u can see how its gonna look kinda like.let me know if u like it.

I like the effect and the idea.
I dont like the cyan for scroll and button.
For a perfect black style I think gray color is better!

Love it man... if you released a finished version I would snap it up in a second. my thoughts are as follows:
alot of people would have trouble with black windows explorer background becuase of system settings (text, etc) so if you do release it make a version with a white BG.
I love your task bar/winexplorer style. it acutally looks kindof like linux which is a look i have been searching for for a WHILE

u can do that with restorator 2007, but u need image alpha converter to covert the images.

you should make everything dark, it would be the best dark skin around! Like make even the explorer background dark. But even if you don't I still like it a lot!

ah I thought you could simply relfect the icon then use a gradient and make it appear relfective. But yeah i get what you mean. doing that on every icon could be abit tiresum haha. But nice work man! look forward to the whole thing
