The reason this war is going is because Twihards have belittled those who hate it, both on the Internet and IRL (in fact, Twihards have attacked antis rather viciously, the twilightsucks.com community think it's only a matter of time before someone dies over it).
The reasonable antis I know are fine with the sane fans, who agree to this point, but are getting agitated to no end when someone calls not liking the stories a sin a sin (seriously, this happened).

I like your stamp. It's really unpleasent coming to Devian art and see people being so agressive about it. No avatar, manip, wallpaper will make me deslike the Twilight Saga. And I don't have any will of making the haters like it.

No, people shouldn't argue about stupid things like a book. Some people like it, some don't. Goes for anything, really. If you get obsessed with something, great, but don't hate the people who don't like it, and vice versa.
