yes, inkay's my favorite pokemon because it's so cute!! i caught one as well, and yes, you do need to turn your 3ds upside down in order for it to evolve! i did it, and now, it's evolved form, Malamar, is probably one of the most reliable pokemon on my team!!

When do you turn it upside down exactly though? x3 When it tells you that he leveled up? I would assume so...? xD And I love how creative they got with these settings for the pokemon to evolve!

i turned it upside down around the time that i beat the last pokemon fainted! and then it worked for me! and yes, i agree totally!! its a nice twist the game!
