Description
Monarch's got herself a few doppelgangers nowadays. I just love her overall concept so much that her 'spirit'is taking over characters from some of my other storylines. Figured I'd upload this to show, anyway.'Archa' is a redesign of a character I have scheduled to appear in DreamScape, a webcomic I'm planning. The character was originally named 'Rhea', but I have another character named Rheos and I prefer to keep a range.
Archa is a C-Type, a person who can accommodate the introduction of cybermechanical technology into their body. The C-Type generally allows adaptations in accordance with the A-type gene the person previously possessed. Archa's A-Type gene would have been a butterfly, hence how she has attatchments meant for flying. She's lucky that the gene also allowed for the replacement of her malfunctioning heart too.
The character she is interacting with on the right is Arua, my main character. Arua has weight problems. She's not anorexic, as such, but her body burns fat much faster than it ought to, and she always seems to look skeletal and unhealthy. Eats a monstrous amount, too.
Arua, Archa and DreamScape C me.

These are some good looking concepts. I like the looks of her cybernetic parts, the way they're incorporated into her body in a way seems to flow with her natural anatomy. The wing array looks wonderfully complex as well, and I like the little detail of the heart being visible in the chest cavity. I also like the snippets of character interaction here, they have a nice emotional quality.
Good work.

Thank you. I've been having some fun trying to make cybernetics look like the body is accommodating them, rather than simply being attatched.
The wings are probably highly impractical, but I had fun designing them.
I enjoy showing the more vital parts of the mechanics. If you can imagine it in colour, floating and glowing rosily within a clear but dark-green liquid...
Thank you very much C:

Your ability to create concepts is simply fantastic. I'm sure I may have asked you before but, do you have an art degree? I just can't get over how smoothly everything you do flows together. I'm just, fascinated. x3 My ears and eyes are open to any advice and tips you might have. I dream of being able to bring to life the ideas in my head the way I see them inside.

Wow, I've never been asked that before, atually. I'm only 17 though, I'm actually planning on starting work on a fine arts degree when I go to university next year XD
C: Well, the best thing to do is just practice. Practice like nothing could ever stop you.

You're only 17? That's amazingly inspirational. You have so much feeling in your art. I really admire your fine attention to detail. In a way, it's like every line tells a story as to what you were thinking and feeling though no words are spoken about it.
I really love to see anything you work on, because I can see the effort you put into it to make it beautiful. Being able to really -feel- your art is what I like the most about it, and being able to learn things about how you work, so I can try and apply different things to my studies. Various techniques and the like. C:

Well, thank you so very much C:>
The truth is, I really began putting more detail into my work after seeing *DiabloZERO-GodofHell 's work, and now I'm finding so many artists that just inspire me to do more and get better. I do hope that every line is meaningful.
I am so glad that you try out things that I do XD Most of what I do I learned from others, so it's good to have it passed along. I could give you some links to the artists I really find inspirational at the moment if you would like C:

I'd really like that. I need all the inspiration I can get. With my relationship failing on me, I lost the spark that kept my fire lit. :c Now I'm trying self motivation, because I realized how little faith I had in myself, due to the negative people who surround me.
Thankfully though, I will be moving in a month! I will be living with a girl who loves art as much as I do, and shares my passion for animals. I feel that with someone who enjoys my same passions I should find myself surrounded by inspiration, and feel good vibes. I will also be living extremely close to my once better half, so I have cautiously optimistic hopes that there's a chance to fix things between he and I.
Apart from that, I really just try and draw inspiration from artists I admire, and try and hear their story. Generally I find that they started out much as I have, and built momentum over the years to do great things with their art. Simply by practicing in most cases. I'd stopped drawing entirely after high school in 2007, and didn't start again until my ex convinced me that I had potential to be great. So I'd really love to keep pushing, even when I hit a rough spot, and find what makes me great, as others have before me. C:
I'll end this now, as I feel I am rambling on and spamming up the page.

Well then, I shall now proceed to recommend to you some of my most favorite artists and webcomics.
First and foremost, two of my favourite digital painters, `alexds1 and ~questionstar . Their styles are so lovely, both different but so beautiful. Alexds1 actually does a webcomic, equally brilliant, known as The Meek, here [link]
Another webcomic I recently stumbled upon is B.I.B.L.E., or Basic Intructions Before Leaving Earth [link] , which mkaes use of both painted and lined techniques for characters and backgrounds. On DA, she goes by the name of ~TheScatterbrain
*davidsmit Has a wonderfully light style, and has a cool ability to warp anatomy for style purposefully.
And so finish off, though I do have more in the back ;D , ~JenZee , who's painting style is thick, but beautifully detailed. I would love to be able to paint in a style similar to hers some day c:
Ah, this is cool news Nothing motivates like having another artist in the vacinity. I do also wish you the best of luck in repairing your relationships.
When I tell people that it's just practice, half of them don't believe me XD It's a shame about that hiatus you took, but it is grand that you are coming back into art after all this time. I do agree, you should definitely keep going with it <3
XD Don't concern yourself about that C:

DreamScape! Thank God you didn't drop that! Was that the girl with the brown bird wings? Or do the robotic wings belong to another character? Geeze it's been a long time..
I was gonna say you draw hands so awesomely well before I took a look at how awesome her foot looks. Foot anatomy from from the side or the front is hell, then you get as from the bottom. Ffffffar out.

Glad to know you still remember it |D
Arua was the girl with hte wings, but no, this is not her. SHe's the one with the straight hair beside Archa in the top right. I redesigned her majorly |D
XD Well, I spent a whole year just forcing myself to draw hands and feet properly and not hide them like I wanted to do. Itworked very well, in the end C:
