I think I might end up working this a bit more still, but I really like how it has turned out so far.Just a painting of Alternative Saik. I like her blue lipstick |D And I love ainting lips, so there we go.
Played around a bit with Hue/Saturation and rendering effects when I was done. The original doesn't have those effects on it, incase I want to refine/mess around with things a bit more.
I want to give this more oomph, but I don't know how D: Any useful suggestions?

why don't you use warm colour shading and cool highlights, or vice versa? c: Like this tutorial does: [link]
and I don't know, personally I think this is great, but maybe a sorta cherry/bubblegum pink background, to make those gorgeous blue lips stand out more? C:

I wasn't realy going for a particularly warm feel with this one, to be honest, but the bubblegum pink is a great idea, I might rework it like that c:

Increase the contrast/deepen the shading? Maybe it's her skin tone that's softening out the oomph.
Other recommendation is probably start trying out a textured/un-smooth brush to get some skin texture in. I know it's a bit late now, but perhaps consider it sometime for a future painting

Ah, yeah. I like making my pictures look smooth, but I really should branch out and start experimenting. I still don't really feel all that confident using exclusively shade and light to define form yet though.
