The rain was falling now. Saik lay in the reddened soil, her body broken and frail, shattered and mutilated by laser fire. She couldn't see, for her blood had leaked into her only working eye. She wanted to brush it away, but she couldn't seem to move her hand. She could barely feel anything anymore. Saik sighed, and allowed her head to flop back into the mud. It was cold, unbearably cold. "I'm going to die" she whispered. "I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die." It made it seem better, the more she said it. Didn't have much to live for anyway. She tried to blow a bubble in the mud, only to discover it was no longer beneath her. She felt her body lift from the earth. "Saik! Saik!" a fuzzy voice said. "Thymel?" she rasped, before sinking into her own personal abyss.Thymel looked at Saik's body, the blood that had now clotted over her wounds, slowing it's flow so that it fell in large, gooey droplets. A great deal of it stained the dark soil beneath him, red with green, until the ground had become black. Saik's own skin was frighteningly pale, but he could feel the mechanisms of her pak still functioning-she was alive, barely. "I've found her!" he yelled back to his subordinates, who were searching the other bodies. Careful not to dislodge her pak, Thymel extended two pak-arms to help distribute Saiks weight, though she had always been rather thin. A sense of relief flooded through him, as the rain poured down into his eyes.
I've never tried to do a scene with rain before. I'm extremely happy with how it came out.

"limp" is exactly the word i was looking for XP
it's something not all people manages to get in this kind of drawing. most times, the character looks like it's holding on to keep the pose still...

Nah, tis fine. Personally, I couldn't take living in Oz, I can't handle the heat, and would miss the snow on the mountains too much XD Lol. But you do have superior theme parks over there. Hey, Rainbows end! NZ's premier theme park...Nz's only theme park...XD
He won the last Blood-Sport. His arts really in the IZ style, but its pretty good. Personally, I like looking at better artists work because it makes me want to do better. ANd if I find one that I think is better than me and is my own age... Hell to pay, I just wanna go draw until I can be better than them.

Psh, the earliest I woke these holidays was 8 am. Ah, and I couldn't blame you >_< I must have the natural NZ weather adjustment, because I aboslutly loathe the summers of Australia D; Hence I love Autumn/Winter so much. Spring is so nasty and sticky sometimes, yet all my Australian born friends find it fine xD
I'm assuming you're from the South Island? ^^ I was born in Auckland, so I've never experienced snow in my life, which just sucks, to be frank xDD

She's 4 month younger then me, and just by how well she draws.. I nearly want to cry =/ Well, I mean, I see artists like you, who are my age and draw amazingly, but when it's you're best friend who tries to make you feel better.. it just sucks xDD But that's when the ambition of trying to do better comes in, like you said XD

Dreamworld was awesome when I went there. 'Specially the Claw, that was so fun, and the wipeout and vortex XD they were awesome! *adrenaline junkie maybe, but you won't find me anywhere near a log flume or the giant drop (the fear fall was bad enough...urgh)*

I think I'm a year older than you, actually. The artist I'm actually trying to beat right now is ~DiabloZERO-GodofHell her art blew me away when I saw it, and now I'm all like "you better be older than me, you better be older than me!"

HA! XD I ask my sister to wake me up at that hour, but she never does. She always wakes up earlier then me, but she always says she either forgets or "I already tried to wake you up, but you obviously didn't listen!".

Well.. I don't actually remember Auckland. Though I do think I remember seeing the lights on the Tower.. or it could have been when we moved to Australia. I was 3 xDD

You been to Dreamworld? 8D Ack, I hate the feeling you get when you're going down. I like going upside down and fast and what not.. but not that falling feeling.. yuck xD I totally getcha about the log flume! Giant Drop? I was nearly forced to on that by sheer peer pressure. Thank heavens I didn't. I would have fainted. I remember I lived just across the highway from it, and I'd always look at it at night (with two red lights on top.. looked like an evil giraffe, lol!), and wonder why I couldn't have gone on it.
Yes, you are, if you are indeed 16 xD Oh...Wow O_O I see what you mean! And how you feel. For so long, before I knew of deviantART or my friend Milly.. I never felt the need to really excel, you know? Wow, I didn't know anyway else felt the same way I do about art! XD

Queenstowns the best, because it's absolutely beautiful, theres great skiing and snowboarding, its the adventure capital, it snows down to the ground and they have good schooling, I have relatives there *valid reason, of course XD* and its a boom town, so its expanding, yet its small enough to not feel overwhelmed. I love it, and it always has that cool, crisp feeling to it.
The sky tower is fun. But I didnt jump off it yet XD

Before about 3 years ago, art was just for fun. But now, its an obsession for me. Im going to be an animator when I get older, then a director, and have my own series, I swear. Its just, now Ive convinced myself theres nothing else I want to do. Its a dream, but I can reach it.
