OMGZ ITS LIEK A SELF PROTRAIT ONLY NOT.
one of my most inspired pieces this year, its meant to reflect all the things that make me ... me!
the two things i really dont like here are:
the mushroom - too bright, too out of place, too random. i might repaint over it with a REALLY BIG GAMEBOY COLOR cause that would just be cool.
my hair - i simply fail at painting hair. end of story.
as for the rest of it:
- THE BIG FACE: me ...durr...
- Pencil: art much? pretty self-explanitory.
- Rose: my benevolence tempered with thorns. i'm pretty nice and outgoing and helpful. but i have a good defense mechanism and its quite a nasty thing if you manage to piss me off.
- Cityscape: desire for change. growing up in a small town does that.
- Cherry Tree: beauty & romance. i've simply always accociated cherry trees with love. I DONT KNOW WHY.
- Fruit: my diet change i recently found out that i'm lactose and dairy intolerant, and making the change so that my diet depends almost solely on fruits and vegs has been a major change. I MISS YOU ICECREAM. i really feel more healthy and all around better though. losing weight too!
- Toaster: i like toast. also symbolizes my spontaneousness.
- Dacshund: i have two weiner dogs at my rent's house: jake and winston. we've had them for so long that i cant imagine my house without them.
- Pierced Heart: how art is an emotinoal outlet for me, esp. in painful times.
- Soccer ball: my sport of choice and my "other passion"
- stars/lightening: my awesomeness.

Dont get rid of the mushroom! at least if it represents holy experiences you have had on them. I personaly would be in a totally different place without them. But thats just me.

The title really jumped out to me on this one.
And look, a puppy! Cute little guy, I bet your floks' are little monsters though eh? I hear that they can be pretty bitey.
I agree, the mushroom DOES seem a bit out of place (unless of course, you DO mushrooms, in which case...)
Oh, another thing I like is the pencil piercing the heart. A very emotional statement.
