Artist's Training Grounds Alumni Group - Week 18 - A Pony in Their Nightmare Night Costume

Whew! Somepony's getting excited about Diablo 3. There's a lot going on here I meant to talk about, number one being Dash's Costume, the Demon Hunter from Diablo 3. Original Idea was to do Twilight as the Wizard. That may still happen... but I looked at how much I've draw Twilight lately, and so, somepony else needs love. And since I fully intend to play a Demon Hunter, I decided the most awesome pony needed to be dressed as the most awesome class. I think when they announced the class at Blizzcon, they described it as "Medieval Boba Fett" Dual Crossbows? Yes please.

Now, the pose. Awkward for a person to be twisted like that firing a crossbow, super awkward for a pony. She's flying from the left to the right, hoof raised and pointed backward, head looking back at her target. Hopefully the way the tail is situated, along with the mane's positioning and the direction of the wings will imply that better then I think it does. And no, I can't draw crossbows well.

And yeah, the wings are supposed to look like that, I wanted big epic wings to imply the cloak flowing behind the demon hunter. For the image I'm referencing here, you can see it at [link]
