I know what you mean about scary-high.
I was recently at a show where they where jumping about 5'3, 5'6.
Insaaaane.
My dad cursed one of the riders, ahha. He was like, "She has a perfect round," Right before her last jump, and the horse took off too early, didn't clear the jump, and wasn't able to land in the right area, she both horse and rider fell down, taking the jump with them. Of course, I was looking away when it happened, ahah, but I was about four feet away from them when they exited the ring. Scary sport, but I love it.

it was taken in South Africa, place called Muldersdrift
yeah there where a few people who had a perfect round this one girl had a awesome horse so full of energy, he was jumping about 40cm higher then all the other horses, it was on about the third last Jump that he took it too close and brought the whole thing down, otherwise they would have had a clear round as well as the fastest. But its nice to see that anything can happen. And its not always a predicted outcome!
