Well... yeah, so I know it's not exactly detailed, but... at least it shows how little I did to make this, lol.Related content

Haha I was just experimenting with this tag, the fact that it came out well at all is why I made the tut.

lol that's fine. Remember though that tutorials shouldn't be about learning how to make a certain tag. Use them to learn new techniques - new ways to make effects, new ways to add lighting and depth, etc.

Well, the individual techniques are probably better explained in my other tutorials... Like I had said, I didn't put much detail into this.
In any case, for smudging all I can really tell you is my technique... For smudging like this (big clouds), I use a 15px hard circle brush with the colors I want, and brush in the area I want on a new layer. Then, I take this smudge brush: [link] and use a rate of 90, and a Jitter of .50.
For Clipping Masks, if you want to know how to do them, just brush with whatever brush you want on a layer of transparency, put on whatever layer you want to make the clipping mask with (in most cases, I'll use either a Copy Visible of the tag I'm working on or a space stock), use Alpha to Selection on the brushing layer, invert it, and then erase on the clipping mask layer. Then hide the brushing layer and you're golden.
