I came up with the idea after watching Pokemon Black and White and then realizing that PIKACHU IS LEVEL 100 AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO DESTROY A FRESH STARTER IN ONE MOVE! But instead Pikachu LOSES! Therefore, everything must be backwards in Unova, so I eventually decided to combine this idea with Yakov Smirnoff jokes. I may be doing more.Related content

level 100? ash's pikachu should be over level 9000. No, really. plus he beat a regice, tied to latios, has gone through over 40 gym badges, then losses to a snivy.

Actually, in the anime Ash starts fresh and Pikachu (somehow) starts over as level 5 (normal level for starters.)

Right, but that shouldn't be possible. And even with starting over at level 5, it's not like Pikachu automatically forgets every battle it's ever had. 4 generations worth of adventures should still be worth SOMETHING against a Snivy fresh out of the lab. Granted, its trainer was much more intelligent than Ash, but still. An there are other examples of things working backwards in Unova, like Ash always winning when his PokΓ©mon have a type disadvantage.
