They both make valid points, and I won't say Sandura isn't being at least a little selfish here. However, it's kind of understandable. She was made queen much too younger and left to shoulder the entire shitty mess her selfish, stupid, self-centered siblings left when they decided they wanted to frag each other then get pissed when they were offered an out but not the one they wanted.
Kiara and Kovu did their best to prepare her, but I take issue with Maru. When Kovu died he should have stepped up to at least be Regent until Sandura was actually ready for the throne. He should have done something to help her shoulder the burden that would have been too much for her.
Actually Kovu shouldn't have listened and made him heir or trained them BOTH so Maru could stand in as Regent if need be... which it was needed!
Sandura isn't right to try to shove her problems onto Valari, however, she IS not trying to hand it over then split, since she states the three of them will help Valari, and proper training will still take time. To me it seems like she had no help aside from Malani after Kovu died.
Is she wrong to shove it onto Val at one year old? Absofrickinglutely. But at least she seems like she'll stick around to help and not bail on her niece.

She can't do that to that young girl it's creepy marrying off kids just so the adults can benefit ruining those kids chance of true love.

Maru was an adult having a honest conversation with his father when he tried to make him heir. Sandura doesn't have that luxury.
Sandura, even though having the ability to say no, went on with it anyways and took the responsibilities, be it a bit earlier than most, she still took it. She's now trying to shove her responsibilities on someone else for her own personal reasons. And by the looks of it, she hasn't really managed as well as she might come off. She has failed to broker a peace, failing her pride and lands by doing so, still allowing her dangerous sister in the pride for reasons yet unknown.
Why should he come up with a plan? He was asked to come and pass on the crown without the knowledge of a war/rebellion. He just now learned that knowledge, he can spitball ideas but a plan? Why should he come up with it when Sandura is the ruler, and demanding him to accept their deal, yet unable to end the war any other way than needing Valari.
She might not be responsible for it, but she hasn't done anything about it either. Least anything that worked.

That said, Sandura needed to let everyone rest, eat, and feel welcome before suggesting "Hey, so a wedding tomorrow?"

It sounds like Sandura is dealing with a very stubborn pride to broker peace with. She offered herself and she is the queen and they refused. There is only so much she can do to clean up all these messes. Caused by a sister she ought to have kicked out. She has no support and is also very young.
Jethro doesn't have to come up with a plan but he does have to deal with the fact that his daughter is the future queen by his decision and that comes with responsibilities, like betrothal. Isn't his own daughter the product of an arranged marriage? What did he expect?

I feel for Jethro. Sandura is giving up the crown that fast and almost trying to place everything on Valari's shoulders. I'm not impressed with her ideas/current reign either Jethro. At least she is trying though.

Sandura seems to a be a bit.... selfish now. She wanna get over this Queen-job so much, she is more than ready to put Valari on the throne way too early - just like she had to do it and it is the very core why she wanna step down. She became a Queen way too early, too much stress to handle in that age. Besides: she is free to say she won't have a mate ever, because she dislikes cubs and not interested in males, but eager to force Valari into an arranged marriage for peace?? That peace cannot be too important if Sandura herself is not willing to accept a marriage.... Good thing there is Jethro who can say no to some crazy ideas.

I agree with you. Even if she as queen doesn't want any cubs and that would be "a reason" for them not to accept her own betrothal. Who promise them Valari who could be a future queen would like to have cubs.
The only reason is that no acceptable lion of their own pride is around Sanduras age to marry her and give them "worthy" cubs to connect the prides.

Yes, that is also true, but I more meant if the other pride refuse to do anything with the pride from the Pridelands, because they already broke a promise/engagement I doubt they will trust that Valari will keep her own promise/engagement. They will simply say lions from the Pridelands are not trustworthy and we don't wanna do anything with them, because we are not fools to sit up for the same trick twice. More likely they will start a conflict with the Pridelands. Not like that would be a smart idea, who needs a war - but the incident could hurt their pride deeply and rather make a stupid decision than to give Valari a chance.
