I think you are confusing "cyborg" with "robot". They are not the same thing. A cyborg by definition is partially organic, so of course they could bleed depending on what part of the body is struck.

It wasnt really a tussle, but Francis' injuries were caused by Kritanta.
Francis was fleeing police drones on his motorcycle (Vicky riding on the back) and Kritanta was following them from the rooftops.
Kritanta aimed a sniper rifle at Vicky, but Francis saw the gun glare and swerved the motorcycle so he'd get shot instead.
the action caused him to crash the motorcycle.
Both got away.

it was an armour piercing round.
Pierced his metal layer, ricochet off his rib, punctured his lung (organic), and damaged his cybernetic heart (Francis requires 2 hearts to function).
Francis nearly dies because his organic heart is working overdrive just to sustain his body.
